NK Sparring 2009 successful with MA Tournament Management

Martial Arts Systems & Supplies (MA SaS), the company behind MA RegOnline and MA Score, announced last year's December that it would come up with a tournament management system in 2009. The year 2009 has began very quickly for us, because on the National Championships Sparring 2009 of the Netherlands, products and services of MA SaS were used.



The Dutch Taekwondo Federation used the first service 'MA RegOnline' for their online registration of competitors. Secondly the Dutch Federation used

MA Score for electronically registration of scores, as well as showing the scores to the public. The mentioned systems (MA RegOnline and MA Score) are

developed in 2008 and are succesfully used on different tournaments, as well as in the Netherlands, as in Germany and Great Britain. This year the

also announced Tournament Management System has been used, also with great success.



MA Tournament Management System (MA TMS) takes care of all automation before, during and after a tournament. This means that all competitors are

registered electronically, as well as the categories they will fight in. All these data will be used for drawing and planning the tournament. As as

result poollists and other documents will be created. Contests will be equally divided during the day over different areas. With the help of

timetables and schedules the tournament can be observated very closely.



Poollists contains different information, including competitor information and the current status of the tournament. As well as for the organisation

of the tournament, as for the teams and competitors this information is very helpful. We want to give some special attention to a new feature in the

market: public scheduling. Poollists will have additional information, compared with the 'normal' poollist situation, regarding promotion and

scheduling for the public.



Contest numbers are used all the time in the sport Taekwondo. Multiple systems released over the years with features as scheduling and drawing, but

not even one system really has scheduling as a priority or even a feature to the public. MA TMS has an unique solution for this by giving an estimated

time to each contest number, which will be shown on the poollists. By giving this extra information on poollists and other documents, teams,

competitors and everyone else knows what time a specific competitor will fight. MA TMS has a scoop with this in the world of Tournament Management in

Taekwondo.
